The place was a shadow of it's former self after the original owners left. A lot of the love & passion was missing and unfortunately it wasn't the same dining experience soon after Sikora/Olexy departed.

There was way too much drama in that place from the moment it was sold. Apparently they were constantly ordering tons of new business cards and stationary everytime they got into a fight, then when they would make up both names would go back on the biz cards.

Sikora/Olexy still are around, you just have to drive out to the boonies.

i know my opinion is contrary to how many people have felt, but my wife and i have been maybe 3 times since they sold the place and felt that even if it wasnt 100%, the food was always very good. i have heard "a shadow of it's former self" before, but that had not been our experience.
so....its sad to see it go and best wishes to all parties.

that said, i think it should be mandatory to change a restaurant name when it changes hands! otherwise its false advertising.
can anyone say "butchers"??? (ack, i hope i dont get beat up)

Mmmmm, their cured meats are fabulous. Much better than the sausage of theirs I've tried.
