I've used the dry cleaning shop at 2nd & Catherine for many routine alterations - pants, sleeves, etc. She does nice work. But, nothing I had done was too complicated.

There are some serious needlers on 4th between Bainbridge and Queen.
Check out the windows and go in and tawk to the folks. I do agree to 2nd & Catherine for basics.

Jenkardux, Have you found a place yet for your dress? I still have not gotten my alterations done yet. I am looking for a place that reattachs the hem to jeans and i am figuring out that not everyone does that, so if you found a good place any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. thanks so much. I also have a dress that needs alterations so even a suggestion for only that woudl help alot!

nope, i haven't been able to get any recommendations yet either! i'm busy this weekend but might have time to look around next sunday (if anything is open). i might end up using the citysearch ratings and going by that.

This is one of the funniest threads in a while - two blind persons trying to lead the other but neither knowing where to go.

And Yeshua knows . . . but he won't tell.

well, i ended up advertising on craigslist for a seamstress/tailor and have gotten a few good responses. i'll likely end up going with an individual for this round.

what kills me is i paid under $50 for this dress and will now have to spend about $70 to get it to fit my weirdo body properly! *sigh*
