But is the art good?

I guess I don't try hard enough when I go to Vegas. I don't come home with something I have to explain to other people.

Ugh. My wife came home from a cruise one time with one of the ugliest pieces of art I ever did see. I framed it, and it hung for many years until we had a leak. Unfortunately we ended up replacing it with a clock.

I'm assuming this piece has had a good quality frame attached, so there should be 2 wire loops on the back side of this thing. Like was already said, purchase a couple of heavy duty wall hangers and hang it like any other small item.

I've got a 70 lb. mirror hanging in my home (yes, it's big) and I am using 2x 30 lb (maybe 40 lb - I forget) hangers, one on either side, to hold it. I'm NOT in the studs on either side and it has been fine for 3 years. In fact I got the hangers from the place someone mentioned at 3rd and Bainbridge. We brought something else in to get re-framed and I asked them about hanging a heavy piece. He gave me a few heavy-duty hangers no charge. They worked like a charm - your home's sheetrock is stronger than you think, as long as you use the hanger properly.

Good luck.

I had a very large film poster (close to 6' x 4') framed by the guys at Trinity and they were nice enough to hang the thing for us free o' charge. They also gave my family and I a lift with their van when we found someone tossing out a perfectly good fire-truck-shaped children's bed on Bainbridge and we couldn't drag it home.
Seriously nice folks they are.
