re: PBC beers...

Just stay away from the Newmold (I'm sorry, NewBold) "IPA." The IPA in quotes because it tastes nothing like an IPA should. Was really disappointed with that one. Rowhouse Red's excellent, and the Walt Wit's a very flavorful witbier. Kenzinger is what it says it is - a 'drinkin' beer. Basically a beer of which you can throw a bunch back and not get overloaded with flavor, but still provides a little more than your average swill.

Wow. I know the owner of philly brewing, yet I think you just explained the flavors a million times better to me!

I saw that tattooed mom's has witbier. Now that I know what it is, I might have to give it a shot tonight. Do you know of anywhere in QV that sells kenzinger? I can only have one flavorful beer, then its got to be swill for the rest of the night. Its the pennsyltucky in me.

I believe the correct term is solo cup.

haven't seen kenzinger around in a bar; I bought a case at the beer distributor on 11th.

The POPE has it on tap, and I think Il Cantina does as well. It looks like PBC has pretty much taken all of Yards taps away. I asked a bartender why that was, and he simply said, "they are much nicer."

Dunno if you're jsut playing along, so this may be unneccesary.

It was in re: to an argument a while back where alesis incorrectly id'd the little red cups as "silo" cups.

We alllll know the owner of PBC (and therefore Yard's), come on... and hopefully we've all been to the brewery formerly known as Yard's up in Kensington.

Nothing could possibly ever beat the mix-any-case for $20 special they used to do, before they really took off.

I'll spare you the history lesson of Yards and its split into Yards & PBC operating separately.

I just can't believe nobody else here gets sick and tired of you touting how you know everybody in the city. Alesis you are SO important. Will you sleep better tonight?

Go up to Kensington and tour the -now- PBC brewery... it's historic and an awesome place. There, I just gave you something to do other than drone on and on about how awesome you are because you run a shop on south street. -slow clap-

Not really sure how his comment was grasping at straws???? Pretty sure he just said he knew the owner of yards..

Anyway did you know I worked with Benjamin Franklin, we brewed beer together and I actually helped him Fly his Kite, found Upenn, and helped him revise the declaration of independence!!!!
