Ahem...BV, not QV.

I will update the board on the BV crime stats for the last two weeks or so in June--nothing too outrageous.

Exercise common sense and caution, as frankly, you should everywhere. No walking around with your headset plugged in and you zoned out to what's going on around you; no walking around having the conversations I hear on the cellphone, or texting. Keep the phone handy, but unless you're a brain surgeon or rocket scientist and need to be on steady speed call, it can probably wait.

I walk around all of the time, take the buses, walk back and forth to the subway and use that, do my shopping--and feel safe. One of the reasons is that there are people out most of the time. And don't be afraid of South St., no matter what some fools try to tell you. There is safety in that sort of crowd, believe it or not.
