Default Stampers Square

Does anybody know when the developers are supposed to get in the ground and start building?

They still have some technicalities to get over with the planning commission, but everything will get situated soon. In a public meeting they said around august/september, but it is not uncommon for the groundbreaking to be slowed for various reasons.

The latest I heard was "sometime in early Fall." Proposed (and amended, I guess) plans of development were submitted to the City Planning Commission late June.

Technically, this thread should be in the SH/OC forum along with several open ones on the same subject.

I was about to request that someone ban the spammer scum, but it looks like someone beat me to it.

Hmm, am I the spammer scum? Is it because I asked an honest question? And, while we're at it, I could care less if the building is technically on the north side of Lombard. I am willing to bet Alesis's money that the biggest economic impact from the project will be in Queen Village (from spending money in our shops, bars and restaurants).

No, not you silly. There was a spam message appended to this thread (and to several other threads), which the moderators have since removed. Of course elbastardocalvo's post about the deleted spam was totally superfluous, so a hearty LARTing to him/her is warranted.

hehehe...I think they were referring to a spammer that's been cropping up selling phones, "wow gold"(some video game stuff), etc.

I don't think they were referring to you.

Please don't bet my money since I just sent out checks for my mortgage and amex bill!
