There were a bunch of cops and cop cars on the 800 block of Kater Street this afternoon around 2. They were still there around 4. Does anyone know what happened?

It was a special unit of the PPD: the "Mind Your Own Business" Patrol. Most likely, they were looking for your sorry ass.

I happen to live in the neighborhood, so I'd like to know if there was some criminal activity there. So if anyone has anything helpful to say, perhaps someone with actual info. could reply. But so nice of you to offer some helpful info.

That's interesting, I live on that block of South St on the South side and that day someone had clearly torn through the courtyard of my apartment complex. Several slats of the fence had been torn down and it looks like the same thing at the next fence over. And there's a gate from my complex that doesn't lock that leads to an alley that I think lets out on the little through street> I wonder if that's how the burgular got in or out.
