Seriously, it's time to save the iPods for the gym and home use, don't walk around with them on, especially at night. It's not worth the risk. Also, don't think this is Philadelphia specific, as a few years ago, when iPods started reaching their popularity, people in Boston and NYC were wearing them on the subways, completely oblivious to their surroundings, and then became victims as they stepped off of the trains. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/...=related_story

Funny but true.
Also our theft of bicycles has risen too. People stealing them for transportion or selling them to those who do.

O.H. Lee, a question regarding abandoned bicycles: We are trying to improve the little triangle between Christian, 6th and Passyunk and there is an abandoned bicycle that has been there forever. It is locked to a pole on the Christian side of the triangle. Is there a way we can get that removed?

I have seen many of these stripped and abandoned bikes myelf and wondered who could get rid of them. I figured if they were locked to private property the owner would handle it or the parking authority if locked to a meter pole.
Maybe the Streets Department or Citizens Alliance. What kind of pole is it locked to?
