What's up with the film crew on Gaskill? Any ideas on the film? Actors? Etc. They seem to be filming on the whole block.

The actors were hanging out under the shambles at 2nd and lombard when I went to cosi.

for those unaware, The Philadelphia Java Company on 4th plays a recurring role in the series as one of their neighborhood hangouts...

every time they are back to shoot scenes, they grab a few more shots outside Java...

They're budget must of shot up. I remember a few years ago when they were filming at Java - it looked like student project (which I think it was...)

Well, depending on when you saw it - it MIGHT have been a student project ... there have been at least 6 (that I know of) student project / indie shots outside/around Philly Java over the past couple years ... seems to be a hot location

They were shooting in front of the Public ledger building at 7th and Chestnut yesterday. The support trucks were scattered around the shoot. Saw a food truck on jewelers row. A prop truck was on 7th st.

apparently my mother in law stopped by to see the grandson today and then ran into danny devito at sarcones. reports are he was friendly and eating prosciutto. further bulletins as events warrant.
