Wow, you brought back memories. I used to get my hair cut by the "Father of the DA" in the early 80's down in that vintage shop on Naudain. Sometimes he did a kick-ass job, sometimes I wanted to put a bag over my head - must have been that bottle of, was it Johnny Walker Red he kept on the counter?
What a character he was. I miss his stories about Frank, David Bowie, James Dean & all the rest. The old cans of talc, the way he'd remember everybody who walked in. A legend.

Gotta admit, I don't remember any of this. I was into the sex pistols, skinny puppy, the cure, etc. at that time so I probably didn't want a duck ass. Pretty funny story, though.

As I recall - he did most of the "punker" / hipster haircuts back then... being dirt cheap didnt hurt either
