Dear Neighbors:

There was a fire on the block of 10th and Spruce Streets this Friday evening which resulted in damage to four buildings. A dear friend's apartment has become uninhabitable as a result. He is now looking for a new place, preferably in this area. If you know of any rentals for $1000 or under (that allow a cat), please reply to this message. I've been looking at the Philly Weekly listings, Craigslist, etc., but would appreciate any help you can provide.

There's an available one bedroom apartment in my building at 9th and Pine for $900 I believe. Realtor is Alex Chamberlin, Realty World Properties: 215-386-4200. He's cool with cats. Very sorry for your friend's situation, and I hope he or she finds a place soon.
