I've been living in QV for a few months now, and have yet to find a good Italian take out place with a good Italian hoagie/special/sub. It's a staple in my diet and I've been having cravings. I'm talking about that "go-to" sandwich shop for a Friday or Saturday night.

What's everyone's favorite in the area?
Ricchi Bros. 11th & Annin st. Get there before 3, they run out of rolls .

Yeah, Ricci's at 11th and Annin are really good, actually still one of my favorites if I just want a Ham and Cheese Hoagie, delicious!

i don't know what previous posters are smoking, but chickie's stands up easily to sarcone's - and i've had them both. they are both very good - but i think chickie's wins out.

the bread at sarcones is a bit better - chickie's has sarcone's bread, but i think the bakery sends the absolute freshest stuff to their own deli. but chickie's wins on fresh meats (sliced to order - not done at sarcone's) and great customer service.

Doesn't take much for a good old Gastrointestinal issue for me, and Sarcones has yet to do it to me, so you either got a hoagie with every type of peppers and spices known to man, or you have an even worse stomache than me! Sorry Nipsey, how dare I think you would go GET your food, ha ha... I'm the same damn way... I lived on 9th and Washington, and would have J&J deliver....that whole 2 blocks away. By the way, Sarcones delivers now, if anyone gets delivery...my brother just took the job as the driver to keep himself occupied during the day, heh heh- he is a bartender at night and couldn't handle sitting around his house every day.
So say hi if you get a delivery.

Nipsey may never need to leave his house again between Slice and Sarcone's deliveries.
