But I was there on Wednesday. Maybe it's an only-for-Alesis-on-Wednesdays special.

today i treated myself to lunch at Foy's - - it was the first time since their renovations and MAN - that place looks GREAT!

Grant it, i always liked BF's vibe - but, it was pretty obvious that a sprucing up was long overdue - and they did a sweet job! I love the new lighting and the bar stools!

Also - Randy, one of my favorite bartenders in the city (formerly of Crescent City, Lula and Judy's) is now working Fri/Sat/Sun and Monday nights ... so if you plan to swing by one of those nights, tell him I said hi!

Anyway - i was pretty impressed so I thought I'd take a moment and shill away

I ate lunch there the other day and thought everything was great. I also found out that they are going to start serving breakfast, which will be a great alternative to a quick diner breakfast from south street diner.

I have to shill Sarcone's (as if the place needs it). I went back today and had the old-fashioned Italian.

They started Wednesday - the menu looks great and is a good price as well!

They open 8am weekdays and 9am weekends

can i do a negative shill??
i got an XL t-shirt from canulli's at the festival and its a bit snug.
um, know your target demographic, please.
someone buying a pork-related t-shirt is going to require a.....a fuller cut, its just common sense.

I saw those and thought that canulli's should really sell bowling shirts instead.

I went back there last week, based on hearing good things here.
I tried them when they first opened and wasn't impressed. The place is nice enough, but the pad thai was bland. Not sweet not spicy, just dull. I think I'll stick to the Thai on the 100 block of south.

So one negative shill and a positive one to equal it out.

hehe...are you talking about Jon's? If so, I eat at the bar so it may be bar only specials...don't know. Since I started the confusion of the elusive Jon's lunch specials I will figure it out and post it this week.

This thread seems mostly about food, but

this place is really great...professional, friendly, reliable and honest service a few blocks from my home. What's not to love? I no longer dread taking my car in for repairs.
