That's south philadelphia, not QV. You would be better off asking in the South Philadelphia section.

Want to see different perspectives from both areas. I posted same on S.P ... Realtor said it was Bella Vista Southwark.

If you look at a map of the area on msn maps they also have QV as Wash Sq West/Soc Hill area and call it Queens Village. Realtors will call the area south of Wash BV just to pop the prices because it's still 19147 zip. I always figure it to be the northern side of Pass. Sq. There are some really nice blocks there.

I just think that people who live around their would give more accurate representations.

Realtors are dropping names like boomboom. One realtor on here is trying to reinvent the area by calling it LoMo. Other's say South Philly. Plaza this, Square that.

History always repeats itself.

As a sofilly aficionado, bigmel is controversially correct-at one time, everything south of south street was south philly. Realtors came in during the 70's and began naming every neighborhood in an attempt to maximize their return. Queen Village was nothing but an invention produced by Plumer RE and a couple of other realtors. I don't remember how the name Bella Vista was formed. Hawthorne was actually in Washington Square and Society Hill until former mayor Rizzo decided he wanted to turn it into yuppified living-so they forcefully transplanted a community to south philly and renamed that section with the same name.
