They seem to be doing fine. I really like it, but have opted for elsewhere since they are letting a couple neighbors ruin it by letting them bring in their loud yapping dogs that let you know everytime someone comes in or out. My wife goes down for baklava and really likes the food for takeout.

I no longer go because of the dog presence.

ditto... i've stopped in twice and both times i was greeted by a sea of high-pitched yapping (yes, it was from a dog!)

i'm at peace with pets being in or around a coffee shop - but, just like with kids, if your pet cannot control itself in a public setting, then don't bring it along.

Anyways - after two annoying visits, I gave up. I wish the owners would realize the obvious problem here and take some action, but I fear they are soo hungry for business (rightly so) that they are just turning a blind eye....

alas.

the one lady with the happy, nipping white dog doesn't even buy, from what I've seen! I was told that she lives around the corner and treats itlike an extension of her house. She is usually in what appears to be slippers and pajamas.

Default Info From Cafe Fulya

My Dear Neighbours,
I am afraid of hurting peoples feelings and I couldn't say anything to their faces about not to bring their dogs. But finally, I found the best solution to that. About 10-12 days ago I put a sign saying "sorry no dogs" on my store's door. Since then, people stoped bringing their dogs and respected that.
I appreciate your support and I would appreciate your negative comments as much as your positive comments, as long as they don't have a hidden a agenda to hurt my feelings and my business.
Warm Wishes.

cafe,
No one is trying to hurt your feelings. The dogs in a smaller setting are very invasive, and very loud at times. It is very hard to relax with them around.

Thankyou for dealing with it, and I will definitely hang out more often now. If dog owners give you a problem, remind them that it is illegal to have pets in any type of restaurant.

Good solution, that way it didn't look like you were picking on one person. Dogs do not bother me but I know from having more than a few over the years that some people are terrified of them. Those people would not have come into your business.

Seeing that I own a dog, I don't think that dog phobia is an issue.

Try relaxing when a dog is nipping at your ankles and barking at a high pitch everytime someone walks in. Its especially fun to play balance the china as two little dogs fight under your table.

I'm really happy to hear this was dealt with! I like that cafe a lot and don't hang out at another coffee shop in the neighborhood as much any more because it's often filled with really big dogs in a small shop and it's really hard to walk around and over them. While they are generally well behaved, it's hard because you have to watch for tails, paws, etc. and sometimes just moving a chair becomes a problem.
