Celebrate a year of First Person Story Slams! at this special Slammiversary event at L'etage (6th and Bainbridge Streets) on April 22. Everything you've come to love about our monthly storytelling events - the drama, the laughter, the judgment - plus all-night drink specials and a whole lot more. Whether its your first time or whether you're a veteran, consider signing up to tell a story or serve as one of our story judges. Former Slam winner Ingrid Wiese will host. Doors open at 7:30, slam at 8:30.

The stories must be true, they must be five minutes or less, and they must relate to the monthly theme which is "The Awkward Pause." Uwishunu has a bunch of videos posted on YouTube that'll give you some idea of what the evening is like. It's a lot of fun!

Just a reminder:
Tuesday April 22nd @ L'Etage (above Beau Monde at 6th and Bainbridge)
Doors at 7:30pm and the Slam begins at 8:30. (We're expecting a pretty good crowd for this one, so you'll want to get there early!)
Admission is $5, but First Person Arts is a non-profit, and we encourage you to donate more if you can afford it!

Yes, I forgot to add that this would be an excellent topic for a StorySlam story...There's sort of an "Awkward Pause" in there...And if the cops showed up and wrote him a ticket, I'd hope he'd come out and tell the story in July when the theme is "Caught!"
