"The House" on Fitzwater

The supersized house on Fitzwater Street in Bella Vista that's known pretty much as "the House" is on the market - less than a year after owners Dana and Michael Spain-Smith moved in after nearly three years of construction.
Asking price is $6 million - it's loaded with art-deco pieces and antiques and is lit up by 20-some chandeliers - or $5.5 million unfurnished.
"It's too much house," says Dana Spain-Smith, former head of Philadelphia Style mag.
It has 10,000 square feet of living space and 1,000 square feet of formal gardens.
It's a one-bedroom with three full baths and 21/2 half-baths - and the master suite is enormous. Dana Spain-Smith has a 1,500-square-foot boudoir with enough closet space for her collection of a "couple hundred" pairs of shoes. Michael Spain-Smith, a commercial photog, has his own "man's room," which includes a pool table and - why not? - stripper pole. The couple plan to downsize into condos here and in Paris.
