They do not offer child care at the meetings, either, so it's obvious they hate children, too.

If people don't show up and represent themselves, what do they expect? There have already been two general membership meeting dedicated to this legislation. If residents are opposed to this, the GMMs are one obvious opportunity to get more details, voice opposition, and possibly even get information about how to go about blocking the legislation. There are always twice as many people bitching about stuff on this forum than EVER show up at the GMMs.

So here we have yet another GMM about the topic. Are the people who posted here going to show up and join the debate/be a part of shutting it down?

I will complain to my elected representatives. It's my choice to not participate in QVNA meetings.

Yes, it is absolutely your choice not to participate in QVNA meetings. I was simply pointing out that if people chose to more frequently participate in QVNA meetings in greater numbers, more people would be aware of board proposals, ideas, projects, issues, etc. as they come up and be able to either voice opposition or get involved accordingly.

Some people seem content to just wait for sh*t to happen and then complain about it and/or have to petition local elected officials about it after the fact.

I guess, ultimately, my point is that this NDC legislation may never have come as far as it has if enough people were involved in neighborhood/QVNA proceedings on a regular basis. Contrary to some conspiracy theories, the QVNA board would, I’m sure, be thrilled to see more people getting involved and showing up to GMMs. I've been to GMMs where there are 12 or so people in the front of the room and it is a bit discouraging.

Seriously catmom, I wish you would reconsider. The reason things have gotten this far is because nutbags the al sumthin' nutter screams out foxnewsisms and since there is no dissention, crap like this gets passed. We have to make it known at meetings AND with our representatives that this crap cannot continue.

i hate that guy, too...but that guy wasnt as bad as his predecessor if only because he didnt have time to delete quite as many liberties

does anyone ever wonder if the constitution is still down there somewhere in the national archives or if they replaced it with a replica and then passed the original around to take turns wiping their asses with it???
