guilty. i knew it was going to be a struggle once it was assigned to an intern, because he surely was dealing with word counts. my overall objective - that no one in the neighborhood knows this is coming - isn't in there, but i'm hoping since it's now in print, and not just the crier, more people are aware.

I'm sure Shosh's points cover it. To me, in addition to various specific points about the program, the fact that so many in the neighborhood didn't receive adequate notice is reason enough that it should not become law.

For the record, I dropped off my objection to the clerk of council today. According to the girl who took it, stamped and initialed it and copied it for me....they have had several people bring them letters personally, and have been receiving others through the mail for the last week or so. Hopefully it is a substantial number.

10am tomorrow at City Council.

You got a stamped copy back? They wouldn't give me one.

I'm going to try to be there, but I'm not sure I will be able to get out of a previously-scheduled meeting.

By the way, I just noticed that the meeting today is only the Committee on Rules, not the full board ... it's unclear when/if the full council ever votes on the ordinance.

Don't know when this bill will move to full council, but regular full council meetings are always on Thursdays (I think they may recess for part of the Summer.)
