They get very busy, and sometimes they have to turn down orders for their bakery.

Pink Rose seems to be busy all the time? Underrated and reasonably priced breakfast too.

for my money the best steak on south has always been Ishkabibbles. and those fries..damn, they are good.

nothing against SOS though, they opened towards the end of my tenure as a QV resident and I tried their food a few times. definitely preferred them over Jim's which I have never liked.

Home of the original gum tree, across from the TLA. (Or what ever name they're using until they eventually switchback to TLA.)

I've never eaten there, something about seeing pigeons flying in and out of the kitchen window bothers me.

Alesis is there any place you won't eat?

Nothing beats their sweet potato fries. Nothing!

Aubin, Ishkabibbles is directly across from TLA. They have great chicken&Broccoli sandwiches, and the previously mentioned sweet potato fries. Oh, and gremlins which are a mix of every type of fruit juice under the sun.

BTW, Live Nation has officially switched back to calling the venue the TLA - the "Fillmore" brand was dropped from the Philadelphia market, since it just didn't stick (Thank God!)

Live Nation issued this 'news' at the beginning of this month via a press release... here's a wire story 'bout it:

Gremlins! YUM! But they are just a mix of Grape and Lemonade drink, hence the name Gremlin (mush the words "grape" and "lemon" together) It goes perfect with their fries!
