That's it...their first location was(I'm about 75% sure) the storefront where platinum now exists-next to tattoo mom's.

Go in poor, leave with 10 toys that last forever. I think I still have a plastic envelope opener I bought from the place.

By "our child rate" do you mean Center City or just the QV/ South St. area? I remember your showing those statistics in the past, but I have trouble reconciling them with other facts - that the schools are reporting an increase in admissions, with at least one creating a new Kindergarden class in order to accommodate 20 additional kids each year, more kids' activities having wait lists or being crowded, etc.

Been quite a while since this thread was posted and I got all the great responses and advice from you all.

We had been looking on the 3rd and 4th street stretch for a few months and almost took a space.

Well, the space we really wanted fell through but we found one in Northern Liberties on 3rd street between Fairmount and Brown.

We are currently working on it and hope to be open within the next 4 weeks or so.

The address is:
The Toy Shop
716 N 3rd Street
19123

Tel number: TBA
site: www.PennToys.com

I feel really badly that we could not open up in the QV/BV area but we're not far away - a straight shot on the bus and parking is really easy there during the day.

I'll post an announcement when we know when opening day is.

Thanks again folks!
