Just curious - did anyone find out why he missed the first sentencing? Someone was obviously protecting him since it's now evident he's not capable of thinking on his feet like we originally were lead to believe.

The "foreign sounding" adult that called later obviously had Edna because he called the number that was on the collar, not the number that was on the flyer. It had to be a completely unrelated event due to the complexity of that occurrence compared to the amateurish stylings of the kids who prankcalled.

So I'm assuming the cops were never able to follow up on the "foreign sounding" adult? I don't remember.

No. The adult made a call on an untraceable disposable cell and was trying a 411 scam(send money to nigeria and you'll get your dog, or similar).
