at an adult's age big boys should know how to spell the physical harms they wish upon kids, such as electrocution.

There are white kids who talk ghetto. I live in Roxborough and have seen them acting, talking and dressing like gangsta rappers. Most act tough and bully adults but would be scared *#*#less if they were in a ghetto. The only incident that was a little more horrific was when a dog was beaten to the point where it had to be put down by the SPCA. It happened about three years ago at a Mantua laundry. Some people in here might remember. It was a teenager who did it and the judge was lenient because the poor poor thing grew up in a bad environment. My guess is this will be the same excuse for the 16 and 9 year old if they are caught. This same sorry excuse makes me sick. |

I'm not prejudiced against an entire race. I dislike the criminal element, and sadly, in many major cities, most of the criminal element happens to be black. Those are the facts, as much as white liberals might hate to face it. And for your info, I've had BLACK people tell me what I said previously, that many of them resent white people with money. |

One reason you see it more often in poor black and Latino neighborhoods -- in my opinion -- is that it;s a way for otherwise powerless and marginalized men to feel powerful. If you don't hold a lot of cards -- money, prestige, power -- you can at least strut around and try to scare people. Plus it perpetuates itself by imitation. I mean, why do you think a lot of gay men act "queeny"? It's not like having sex with dudes makes you start talking or walking differently -- it's imitation of your peers. /dramatic monologue |
