The Steak and Ale along Roosevelt Blvd recently closed. :'( It doesn't surprise me too much, since it was dead most of the time and it had very early closing hours for a chain restaurant(e.g., 8 or 9pm on weeknights). Also, the food selection and quality wasn't the best either...although the salad bar was nice. However, I really liked the vintage Olde English style interior. It was unique and had a warm homey feeling. Hopefully it will become another restaurant soon and the English interior will stay the same(doubtful though).
PS, the restaurant's location was Bensalem Township in Bucks County, immediately past the county border. I know this because my best friend lives in the Colonial Point apartments within walking distance of Steak and Ale, and I've spent many occasions taking the 14 bus up Roosevelt Blvd to his neighborhood to visit.
