Huh. I was going by the green trucks that said Huntingdon Valley (apparently the old corporate HQ?) & I also thought it was another name. Oh well, the work's done & I'm not that interested.

I imagine it is their old office-or maybe it is their main corp. office. They do have philadelphia offices, and as far as I know they do a lot of work for the city.

Hey all,

I just moved to the Queen Village area. As someone who has always been kind of annoyed with South Street in general, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the new construction and stores while strolling around the neighborhood this past weekend. I thought the red light posts looked great!

Welcome to the neighborhood!

As with any other shopping area, ya gotta take the good with the bad. There's some cool stuff coming around.

A new soap/facial/girl stuff store opened up between 2nd and 3rd on south. Phileo Yogurt also seems to be a hit with neighbors and visitros alike.

The side streets tend to cater towards residents tastes. The book store on 2nd, chic petique pet supplies on third, TLA video on 4th, etc. all offer nearby ammenities. And with local restaurants like southwark, beau monde, ansill, etc., you won't be left hungry anytime soon.

Hope you enjoy yourself here! Where did you move from?

Hey, thanks. I actually used to live in South Philly (Passyunk Square) while I was in college, but like most [broke] college grads I was forced to move home (in the burbs) for a while to save up some scratch. I'm thrilled to be back in the city - especially an area like Queen Village.

That's wild - when I click on the link I get a page with no mention whatsoever of the "new corporate office" on Essington, although it does include the Jackson St Philly office as well as the Huntingdon Valley corp office.

Oh, sorry Jayfar.

Contact info went out to business & building owners at a presentation at the sheraton when this project first got started...it was on that info. Also, if you google "carr and duff philadelphia, pa", the essington ave. address comes up
