From the guy sitting next to me when he's gotta wake up for a meeting about this tomorrow-
apparently all of those lights have to be attached to circuit boards these days. The company doing the job ordered a certain board; peco then changed their mind so the boards had to be reordered. The company doing the work rushed the order to get the lights by front up for the 4th of July.

Not that I was ever really concerned about my safety on South Street, but the new lights make it feel much safer especially late at night. Everyone can argue about the color of the poles, but I think the new illumination on the street is great.

Does Tim K have an update on the happenings of the 300 block? PGW seems to have been moving down the street, tearing things up, but the contractors still have yet to move in and redo the curbs and sidewalk.

With all of the other blocks pretty much wrapped up, it seems like they are waiting on commencing the aesthetic touches till this section is complete as well.

No, no. It's just something we do, reinvent ourselves every couple of years.

It's something we learn from our idols: Cher, Madonna, Carrot Top.....

I have not been on South Street since 2007, so I wondering if I should go by and see the new trees...

Default new curbs

The new curbs are deadly when wet. My girlfriend and I both slipped on them and I almost ate part of the street while crossing on the 700 block yesterday.
