Very true...it would be nice to get some energy going in those parts. I'm sure the restaurants will love it!

ALL of the loading/deliveries will be handled through the underground garage entered off of Front Street. The 2nd street entrance will only be valet service. Also, that block of 2nd is almost NEVER used at all.

The hole has been there for almost 10 yrs. The developer didn't make it a hole in the ground. Furthermore, he could build a parking garage by right but at least he didn't opt to use the "approve me or else" argument.... I think that's what Blatstein did on N 2nd street.

Ditto. I assume there will be some retail as well.
No retail other than the hotel and restaurant.

Sorta, This is what is look like before Bart bought it:

It is better now, but not that great...

But the more he builds(Hancock Square is almost finished) the more investment he has to make an agreement to get rid of the hole.

The words "supposed to" and "PGW" are often found together in sentences.

I always heard Bart said "I can either build what I want or I will build a strip mall anchored by Kmart, Dollar General and Sav-a-lot. Your choice."

Yeah he said that at the end of last year after being frustrated by the 1600 time the NLNA disagree with his changes(again for that the 2nd St Lot) because he didn't go over it with them and their effort to keep blocking him.

They were never truly happy with any of his plans for the spot, even when it was townhouses, three towers and a parking garage.

I just wish they get him to move away from the asphalt parking lot and more into build a parking garage and turn that are that was a parking lot into a nice green park right there on Girard.

But they are too busy on"It's too tall"

Read my quote.

GOd I hate Neighborhood groups.

It's like how old people show up to fight highway projects that won't even start until they are dead.

I talked to one of the uppity ups in the neighborhood who is in charge of the whole streetscape project, and they said that the trees are not going to be ghinkos; they are going to be sugar maples, honey maples, and chinese elm.

I'll be the one out drilling for syrup.
