Another issue with bricks is that it takes longer to do. And with the way the businesses are already complaining, I don't think they would want this to take longer then a month(It took them 3 months to do the long strips of Girard ave, and that was with all cement sidewalks, sidewalk bump outs, and new crubs)

Now that the show has ended, can we get back to South St.?

I was over that way yesterday and noticed some street lights down by the Downey's end. Will all the lights be the nice cast iron look, or the more plain ones? I can't really tell which ones are new and which have been there a while (or if they've all been there a while and there are just different ones here and there).

As for the bricks versus plain concrete, I always prefer brick, but that requires a big pot of cash. Guess it's not in the cards.

I hate the bricks. They require a fair amount of upkeep, and heels get caught in them as they start to loosen. No thanks. My ankles don't need that.
