Did you happen to notice that the telemarketing office on 7th and south put up a "no soliciting" sign on their door? A tad ironic, isn't it?

Yea! South Street really needs it. The hard problem is going to be keeping the kids from putting there fingers in the cement.

Oddly enough, this is the exact question I asked when the south street district had their public meeting about the streetscape. No one could give an answer. I suggested that a security guard be on duty at any wet cement areas; my guess is that it won't be implemented.

Last spring when I had cement work done on South Street, there was tape and cones up. I was actually standing out there while some of the work was going on. I had to tell the fools, all of them, irrespective of race, creed, gender and SES to walk the hell around the people working on that area. Didn't matter, but a shotgun might have.

Well when Girard ave got brand new sidewalks(6th to Front St) they did it in the cement filling in the morning and it dried by the afternoon and not one name or handprint.

Tho when they did the handicap ramps(they did them last and late in the day) there was one or two names, but they broke it up and refilled the cement the next day.....

So, if they do it early enough, it'll cut down on the riff raff who do there "bad stuff" at night.

this morning, walking down South Street all of the signs are posted for the beginning of the streetscape improvement project. From Front to around 3rd street, on both sides of the street parking will be suspended from Monday thru Friday.
