The genius who ran his wife's money into the ground now owns Steaks on South, and is even trying to sell that for something like 275k. He's really not the brightest kid on the block-he tried turning the last true vestige of decent live music on South Street into a foo-foo gastropub with tacky pontiac-car decor and bathrooms the size of an ant's closet. It was great food and even better drinks, but you can't change a leopard's spots overnight, especially with inconsistent hours and an even greater employee turnaround.
On a humorous note, I think the guy now spends his days registering his own business(steaks on south) for every "best of" contest in philly...he has my email adress, and I constantly get emails asking me to confirm my vote for "steaks on south" for several contests, even though I never voted or even went to the contest's website.
