I also don't see how one can support a "plan" when the planner has a proven track record of violating the law and changing the "plan" to whatever the heck he pleases once construction starts.

Tell you what - i propose to build a non-polluting lollypop factory at Broad and Washington and I am going to give away the lollypops for free. Will you support changig the zoning to industrial for me?
Oh and kindly disregard those reports my lollypop factory is actually going to put mercury in your water supply, OK?

I probably won't be able to make it tonight, but it might be worth mentioning that there is a looming proposal for the North West corner of the same intersection for high rise towers as well.

I don't know. I just think the developer has a lot of "rebuilding community trust" to finish before he would be due any zoning variances, permits, etc.

I think that the land should be used for an adult education center, since, the emporer, of H.E.C., doesn't know, how to use, commas, as per, their meeting announcement, and they also have the, wackiest website in our neighborhood, which reminds me that I can fight crime, by not giving my atm pin number to my relatives. I went to commerce this morning, cancelled my cards, and told my wife that I'm fighting crime because she had my pin.
And yes, the website is also loaded with commas. They also have info about both projects that cannot be spoken about or the developer might cry. http://www.hecphilly.org/

I received this notice as well and is set for today 7/25
I won't be able to make it please keep us updated! I emailed HEC regarding the recent statement on the proposed towers from Albert Hicks "are too large, too high for South Philly, and nobody wants them," to NOT TO SPEAK ON MY BEHALF!

It is surprising considering the massive scale of the tower project that the developer would piss away what credibility he had on something a cheap and simple to replace as the ramp at 1352 Lofts. Does the guy actually have the capital to build the tower or is he just a giant arsehole?
