Hi,
I live next to a vacant plot, well, I think it is actually 3 plots. Every spring and summer it gets overgrown with weeds and growth and tends to promote ridiculous amounts of mosquitos and bugs. Is there anywhere to complain to, or something to do to keep it clean, other than doing it myself? Thanks for your help. |

Is it the vacent lot(s) at the SE corner of 13th and South? Sounds like it. Then again, it sounds like alot of vacant lots that get overgrown in Philly. If it is that lot, let me know, because your're probably a very close neighbor, and I have contact information for the owners of that lot.
If not, I hope you have good luck in finding who is responsible! |

Sorry for the late reply to this but I haven't been on for a while.
I got a notice in my mail box that citizens alliance came and cleaned up the lot, but I see now difference at all, I am not sure what they did. I did some weeding on it, and I believe my neighbor is planning some big clean up. We will see, I guess the block just has to do it, even though it isn't completely our responsibility, but we have to live with it. |

If mosquitos are frequent due to the property, the health dept. will get involved-there was a pothole in an alley behind my friend's shop-the city wouldn't fill it, even though the chinese restaurant would dump water behind their shop, causing it to fill and attract mosquitos. One call to these people got the hole filled immediately:
