Default Parking in QV, BV

We are moving to Philly from the north Jersey suburbs of NYC and are in the process of narrowing our search. We really love the Queen Village and Bella Vista neighborhood and wondered if anyone knows of any monthly parking lots.

My husband will be working in Center City, and I'm not sure where I'll be working. (I'm an elementary school currently searching for a job.)

Queen Village has a lot under I-95 at Front and Christian. $75/month...

Also, there is street permit parking available for $35 (first yr and $20 renewal). Parking isn't impossible on the street in most parts of QV. If you don't drive every day I would say go with the street parking. If you (or your husband) will be driving to work every day and looking for a spot at 6:30pm every night a lot might be the better choice.

Thanks for the info and advice. My husband definitely won't be driving everyday. As for me, that's TBD - so it's good to know there is a lot nearby just in case.

We're headed back down next weekend to see at least one property in Queen Village and hopefully more!

If he's working in Center City I can't imagine he'd need a car on a regular basis.

There are a ton of properties available in QV/BV right now; I see signs everywhere I go. Tell us more about what you're looking for and I'd bet we could add some properties to your list for the weekend!

Thanks!

We are planning to rent for the time being.

Here's our wish list:
-must accept a dog (Ernie is a 15lb cairn terrier)
-2 bedrooms or 1 bedroom with den
-private outdoor space of some sort, patio or deck
-dishwasher, washer/dryer
-would love to have a decent kitchen and an extra half-bath
-decent closest space
-ideally bi-level, but that's not a requirement

Check out www.jmhrealty.com; they're the rental agency I see most often on signs. It looks like they have a few 2, 3 and 4 BR places available in the next couple of months; your budget obviously is a factor. I see signs for Maxwell Realty a lot as well.

But mostly just walk around the first day you're here and call anyplace that looks like it might be interesting and let them know you're in town for a day or two only.

There is also permit parking under I-95 which I believe
income goes in part to the QVCC (Civic Association).

There's also a structure at 3rd/South which is reasonable for my work schedule, I'm not sure what the cost is for overnight, however.
