I don't think I have the cross streets exactly right...

Was driving up Broad Street towards CC and saw new signs for a new building on east side of Broad, somewhere between Bainbridge and Christian. Lot is gravel and has a fence around it; I think it was used for parking during Cirque de Soliel.

Couldn't get a good look at the picture on the sign.

Any more info out there? Thanks.

Corner looked more rounded and with big letters part of an awning. But could just be a design tweak.

We went by today, and it is indeed a new sign for the Dranoff building, looks great, I really hope it happens. I snapped a few photos:

does anyone know what the deal is with those boarded up properties? who owns them? quite an eyesore...

I assume the fact that the sign went up the same time the properties got re-boarded up (see above) implies that they are part of this project and will be torn down once it starts. I know that was part of Universal's problem with the job in the beginning, but I'm guessing Dranoff/Universal has aquired them.

btw, I was checking out the leasing website Lpre.com, and the Broad St front side of rendering looks sort of different than this...

It looks as if there's entrance to parking lot to open courtyard? via Broad St...

If you look closely at the rendering, it actually does show a entrance, but it's only at street level, just beyond the lobby. It's the dark area just behind a cluster of people and a car, it has brick above it, so it looks like it's only a one story access.

It’s nice to see the floor layout, it looks like a lot of retail space.
The site location map is nice too because it shows that it clearly goes through Watts Street and all the way back to 13th Street.

Wow, I can’t wait, maybe they’ll build a mini Wegmans! Or a full size Trader Joes!
