Default Looking for a good Vet

Finally after a 2 month delay, my wife Jill and I are moving to Marvine St. on Monday, April 2. We're also bringinig along our 3 cats and 2 dogs which brings me to the topic of this thread, can anyone recomend a good vet in the area and does anyone know of a traveling vet that does house calls. We have had the same excellent vet for the last 3 years and what made her even better was that fact that she was strictly a traveling vet that made house calls. She also adheres to a specific geographic range for her practice so we can no longer use her after we move.

In the end, a very good vet would be great even if he or she doesn't make house calls. All feedback and recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

We've been going to the Society Hill Vet Hospital and are pretty happy with them. It may be a bit far for you, though (it's right off Headhouse Sq.)

Dr. Sutor at Queen Village Animal Hospital on Bainbridge - she's excellent!

There is a Vet that makes house calls, i can not at this time remember his name but his office is on Passyunk avenue and on thrusdays a neighgorhood paper comes out named the Review, his add can be located in the paper. I dont recomment Society Hill Vet. since they have been sold over and over again i have seen that the care isnt there. That is just my opinion, I use to bring my dog there and now I am going to a fabulous Vet in FW philly.

I'll second the recommendation for QV Animal Hospital. They've been very good to my dog & they've been affordable.

Queen Village all the way. I have 2 cats and 3 dogs - and they give great service for all of the menagerie. Dr. Sutor is also seconded, but they are all good. (tell them Leeloo said hi!)

I used Dr. Soli at the Rittenhouse Vet Clinic. It's far from you, but I thought I'd chime in none the less. Dr. Soli literally saved my dogs life through his knowledge. I couldn't recommend him more.

I have been very pleased with the Society Hill Vet Hospital. I am sure Queen Village is just as good, distance to travel would def play a negotiating factor for you.

I recommend Society Hill. I've also been to QV Vet Hospital and just didn't like the people working there.
