Thanks,
Cappa

she is not cheap... but i always like what she has to say and i trust her. she did surgery on my golden retriever and gave him gold wire implants for his arthritis and he is like a whole new dog. she does not vaccinate your dog unless his titers are low... she is great.
good luck

I can weigh in on QV Vets. Love 'em. My one male cat had a "bad cat" sticker in his file and was just awful at the vet's until he started going there. the vet is so kind to him that now he's just putty in her hands. I have an old man cat who is constantly needing treatment and they are always accessible.

As for emergency care, check with your vet. The big local places are UPenn (had good experience there with old man cat) and a place near Langhorne (excellent, kind care).

The place in Langhorne is called CARES.

They're all about as much money they can get from you & could care less about the animals - or their owners. Trust me, ot was an awful experience.
i've also been treated poorly at QV. The staff are SO rude and just completely snotty to everyone that walks in! I've talked to at least 3 other people in the neighborhood who had similar experiences there and now we all go to Society Hill Veterinary Hospital. They're wonderful! Very helpful, give good advice and the staff and doctors are compassionate and friendly!

It's interesting how people have a wide spectrum of experiences.
I been taking my cats to Queen Village for 15+ years and have always had a positive experience. I've had cats stay there for several days for acute care and they were very empathetic. They held my hand through end of life issues with two of my cats and once when I found a half dead stray in my yard they let me bring it in right away, took me right back and unfortunatly had to euthanize the poor thing, all for no charge.
