As for plastics and cardboard, it is a real pain in the arse, but the only option this city provides is for you to store it somewhere in your house until that first/third saturday pickup.....of course, if you are out of town that weekend it really piles up. You learn quickly to flatten all of your cardboard and plastics and make them as small as possible. I take mine to the one in Northern Liberties as the trucks are sitting there and you just drive up, toss everything in, and drive off. The one under 95 in Pennsport/QV is less ideal in my book. I don't want to bundle my cardboard or put my plastic bottles in plastic bags (all of their recyclables sit on the sidewalk until the trucks come down at around noon to collect them). We create enough plastic bag trash. I try to take all of my unused bags back to the Superfresh on Columbus and put them in the recycle bin they have at the exit.

They say 2nd and Spring Garden, but it is actually Green Street which is about 10 yards north of Spring Garden.....between 2nd street and American Street. They either park the trucks on the street or in the lot right there. There are actually volunteers there that will help you unload your vehicle if they are not busy helping someone else. It is very quick and very easy. Usually I don't even have to pull over as most of the traffic on the block is there for the drop-off. I pull up dump my buckets and drive off.
