Default Rocky VI shooting at Italian Market today?

It looks like the Italian Market is being setup for some Rocky VI shooting. All of the movie trucks are there.

Can anyone confirm this?

I know that all the news outlets have probably confirmed it for you, but yup - they were shooting down 9th Street yesterday and Sly was there signing autographs and getting his picture taken.

If I have my stories straight, they were supposed to shoot that scene last week but held off because they needed to shoot on a colder day so you could see Rocky's breath coming out of his mouth while he was running.

What I loved about the market yesterday is that even though there was all that going on, most of the vendors were just business as usual and doing their thing. I bought the sweetest oranges.

That's great! So typical of the 9th street vendors to just to do their thing.

Does anyone know if they're still there today? I'm not really a Sly fan and I do think that the making of Rocky VI is sort of peculiar, but I think it would be a pretty cool story to say I met Rocky on 9th street. I'm working from home today but wasn't yesterday, unfortunately.

After reading all the Rocky posts I decided to watch the original on Tuesday. I haven't seen it since I was a kid, but damn it was good!

On that note, is there any interest in this series anymore? I'd hate to see Rocky VI go straight to DVD, but I just can't see it doing well in theaters anywhere but here, and even here for that matter.

Reds,

The movie trucks are still there, but there is no police activity like there was all day yesterday....so I am not sure.

Junebug or HIG should know the answer.

It's all in the presentation and marketing. Then again, if you've seen one Rocky movie, you've seen them all.

No shooting in the Italian market today (although I'm finding great prices on asparagus and red peppers today - gotta work those into dinner!)

The trucks are still there which might mean they will be back another day for re-shoots or that it is just a convienent place to keep several trucks.

When HIG left for work this morning he mentioned something about 21st and Market or something near there. Vague, I know. But my sweetie is working too hard today to respond to my text messages. We'll have to wait for the details.

Never saw any of the Rocky movies - but want to go out and rent the original which I keep hearing is good.
