I think the Rocky shoot was around 20th & Walnut today. At least 20th was lined with the Haddad's trucks that always seem to accompany movie shoots. Clogged up traffic pretty good at rush hour.

The Old City shoot was a TV commercial. For what, I don't know.
The first Rocky really is a good picture, but it is tainted by the sequels. For the record, the official title of this is Rocky Balboa, as if it were different. I believe this is primarily for a box set release on DVD to sort of tie it all up, but it will be shown in theaters. And a final word of warning - It will be filming at the Victor Cafe next week, so parking's gonna get a little tight for a couple of days. Hopefully, they'll use the Acme lot as base camp. Of course, I'm only given info on a need-to-know basis, and I don't need to know til six PM the night before, if at all. |

FYI: Police no Parking signs are up all around Victors and along 13th Street -- they all say "no parking" for a whole week starting this Sunday at 8 p.m. to the next Monday so they can accomodate the trucks and stuff. We also got a flyer under our door confirming that the shoot will take place next week over here.
I feel for my neighbors with cars...what a pain in the tail. |

Other than wanting to see the footage of Philadelphia they shoot, the only reason I'm interested in seeing this one is, as you mention, to see the conclusion of the character's story. But I'm almost positive they'll go for the easy out and make it a happy ending that's lame and unrealistic. Have Rocky die in the ring or something! Don't ask us to believe that 60-year-old can win a title fight.

Heck, every producer, writer, and director thinks that their current picture is the next greatest thing. Just so happens that Stallone is wearing all three hats on this one, with some help from a few Chertoffs and Winklers. Plus the rumor is that he'll also wear the editor's hat, as well. Scary. Quote:
