HAHAHAHA...your realtor knows no truths...that's a funny one though. If you are talking about the property that had a "mercury lounge" sign above it for years, it was owned by a strange antique salesman that wasn't a victoria's secret model, but was secretly the co-owner of club kama sutra for the first year or two of its existence. He sold his share off. Frank Dicicco's son and another partner had a bar in that property for awhile(they did have some victoria's secret "looking" bartenders for quite sometime), but the same owner started acting shady and for some reason he demanded that the credit card machine be in his name. Christian and his partner had enough, locked the doors, and ripped everything out of the place within a night or two. It was a shame that place closed, because you could always see a celebrity or two in there casually talking amongst the common folk, making it an interesting place for a cocktail before beau monde was in existence.
The owner then decided to open up a bar himself, which did fairly well, until he started hanging out, making the younger crowd squeemish with his inuendos and flirtations. He then shut it down, with overt plans to make it a "family restaurant", while covertly attempting to turn it into some insane gay burlesque venue(I'm not joking). He actually went before zoning with these menu's that resembled TGI Friday's, while putting flyers around town to the contrary, stating "opening soon, the only c*ck sucking *ss munching place you need".
Are you noticing the trend here? The owner has always been bad news, but he now supposedly has some health problems, and has been attempting to get rid of that property for some time. It was even on ebay for about six months. Unfortunately, I would definitely not recommend dealing with him.
This is Philadelphia, no one should have to make up Victoria's Secret stories, the truth is always more interesting...hehehe(just kidding)
