I called condom kingdom and an employee confirmed that the owner of CK and the Mood owns the lot.. The owner is gone for the week but the kind employee agreed to pass on the message to him that some neighbors were upset and wanted the lot cleaned and that CA came buy to clear part of it.

I am now no longer inclined to clean this property on his behalf, but will hope that something happens this week or will follow up later.

alesis, i have some weeding to do in my back "yard" so feel free to take this on at a reasonable hourly rate.

I kind of know him, but a friend of mine sat with him on the way back from Vegas, and my friend said that they talked about the lot. A deal was in the works but obviously it must not of gone through. I think back then he said something like "I'm selling it to someone right now"

I don't hold grudges on here. I just find it extremely hilarious when people take such mild things so traumatically...Families are getting raped, beaten, and killed in Darfur. Corporations and politicians reem the average citizen for thousands every year. Our own murder and crime rates are at an all time high. Yet people wish to shed a tear over snobbish pizza parlor cashiers in south philly. I'll give you a hint-one of the instances I just mentioned will not be on msnbc investigates.

BTW, agreed that all of these issues are not the end of the world, but we can discuss those more important issues over at the Darfur boards....here we just tackle the mundane every day annoyances that haunt QV/BV/HT!

ha! looks like CA finished the job today. much more of the growth has been trimmed. its about as good looking as could reasonably be expected in these circumstances. Thanks all!

now, of course, if the owner walk over he'll see a clean lot and wonder what the fuss was about, but if he works three blocks away i have to assume that he knows how bad he let it get....

What is up with the pile of rocks with the pvc pipe sticking up in the middle of the lot? It looks like a fountain or sumptin.

EPA regulations provide this method to allow the gas to be evaporated before final cleanup
