Supposedly the ground is contaminated, I guess that's why nobody wants to buy it as somebody will have to pay for the cleanup.

Here is the website to report sanitation violations:
http://www.ppdonline.org/rpts/rpts_sanitation.php
Use code Sanitation Code violation number: 7-301 (High Weeds, etc.) or 7-302 (Not Removing Waste Matter etc.)

Here is the website to report L&I violations:
http://66.179.23.21/DP1/metroplex/Ph...ce/wiz_csr.asp
Again, use High Weeds.

Why there are two websites to report the same thing is beyond me...

And here is the Citizen's Alliance website to request a service
http://www.citizensalliance.us/services.htm

My experience has been that no action is taken until there are multiple complaints from multiple parties.

Default Just curious.

I saw a crew with CA shirts on cleaning weeds out of a lot on Montrose at 7th. Will the owner be billed for this or is it gratis.

On another note. I've heard several people complain about the interesting looking houses on Christian and Pass., but no one mentions the cinderblocked and boarded property next door to them. Anybody know anything about that property.

Right, what is the deal with that? It's the one that had a Yoda poster on it for a long time.

I'd love to see that triangle property become a nice public fountain or park, but for the cost of the land (I think it was $750,000 last I looked) I know that's not going to happen, and I guess I can't really see a park getting used in that location a whole lot, it just looked nice opened up like that, before the weeds set in.

how did you determine the address number here? I need it for the complaints and dont know the number or the street?

EDIT:
I went to the BRT website and search by intersection. Looks like nomoney is using 601 Christian as the property address which makes sense
  • Property Characteristics Land Area: 2625 SqFt
  • Improvement Description: VAC LAND RES < ACRE
  • Improvement Area: 0 SqFt Beginning Point: NWC 6TH ST
(the website says it will provide a map-view with the search results, but this seems to not happen)

ah, city infrastructure
the L&I website does one of two unhelpful things
  • if i put in 601 as the address it tells me that i can only use BRT addresses (and I am copying the address directly from teh BRT website)
  • then i notice that if i click on view tax balances on teh BRT site, the new page shows the address as 00601....but if i use that the L&I site gives me a runtime error
