I am moving into a place on 3nd street and would love some advice on how to get to work (Suburban Station)...... I have not yet learned to navigate the system. Also, how dog friendly is Queens Village, where are the great places to walk dogs and the not so safe places......? Is there anything I really must know.

Ashley,
The area is actually known as Queen Village. No apostrophe 's' so to speak. You can take the 57 bus which runs right up 3rd street (I catch it every morning at 3rd and Bainbridge) and get off at 3rd and Market. Walk one block to 2nd and Market and get on the Market-Frankford EL headed west towards City Hall (The Blue Line) and get off at either the suburban station exit at City Hall or go to 30th Street to go to the 30th St. Station. Can't help you with dogs... Welcome. Check out the Queen Village Neighbors Association website at www.qvna.org

Very dog friendly. The Mario Lanza dog park is on catharine between 2nd and 3rd. My wife walks every morning up to market street. It takes her about 15 minutes but it's a nice walk.
