Hi All,
I'm disappointed with the quality & service of my old optometrist and I need new contacts and eye glasses. Does anyone know of a good eye doctor? Thanks! |

Both the doctor there -- Chris -- and the opticians were great, and they had a lot of great frames to choose from. Bonus for the very honest opinions about what looks good on you and what does not. |

whatever you do, don't go to the Contact Lens and Low Vision center (aka Edmonds and Associates) at Wills Eye Hospital. I went to them after my eye doctor for years retired. From a medical standpoint, they're not bad, although I felt a bit like a "just a number." From a service standpoint they're horrible - the receptionist is really unpleasant, and both times i tried to order contacts online they kept refusing to release my prescription unless I contacted them, and even then they weren't exactly happy to do so. Also there were billing issues, etc; just a multitude of problems. Wills itself is fabulous – my former eye doctor was with them, I was treated in their emergency room once, and my upcoming appt. is with a Wills doc. All fine. It's just that particular practice that sucks.
If you're in the Bucks Co. area though, Dr. Edward Zikoski in Washington's Crossing is amazing. I grew up going to him and was so sad when he discontinued his practice in the city. Incredible bedside manner, very knowledgeable, and a nice guy too. |

I had the same experience as Bainbridge did there. It's a mill. Not a place for me to go back to.
