I believe it would be an easy choice, "Great Job", if the redneck Republican legislature wouldn't try to sabatoge Ed's ideas/projects.

Yes, I agree 100%. Every decent idea he has, backwood-hillbillies try and stop him. In my opinion, the Bible Belt starts at about Lansdale, so he has a tough road ahead of him if he wants to try and convince people that alcohol isn't the devil's product, gambling won't send you to hell, and that Philadelphia is a decent place.

How would you reply to those who have been critical of the Govenor's plan to lower property taxes by raising state taxes? In the end, many argue that this ultimately will hurt more than it will help. What do you think?

Um, seeing I pay about $700 total a year in property taxes, I am NOT in support of his plan. It's all about me.

I never liked Rendell. He is nothing but a spin doctor who exaggerates his accomplishments. He takes credit for others successes but blames others for his failures.

I also believe he is untrustworthy and him standing up for his failed, corrupt successor is a disgrace.

He didn't fix Philadelphia's fundamental problems, only put alot of makeup on them.

I believe when he says that there are hundreds of millions of dollars (if not billions) that can be made by legalizing, with few costs. The only costs I see are more traffic on roads near horse tracks and an increase in petty crime near horse tracks. These costs will be dwarfed by an increase in revenues to the state.

I do think that it's a joke to raise any other taxes instead of legalizing slots.

honestly i believe it is arrogant to say rednecks are stopping him. like somehow you are superior to them. i agree we should legalize gambling but i'm happy they are giving him such a tough time on raising taxes. to me the two most important issues in the state are the med mal crisis and pa's lack of job growth/ there are many little post industial towns in this state without much employment. philly is only the biggest. to cal someone inferior b/c you disagree with them is not right. it ain't like philly is full of well educated folks who make great decisions all the time. not that education means people are smart enough to make good decisions. if anything, it makes a case for local gov.
