Exactly. A third rate rag written on a fifth grade reading level.

Default did anyone else catch the PW poll this morning?

Odd, there was a poll there in the "Mayor's Race" section, earlier this morning, to vote for Street or Katz.

With almost 90 votes, when I voted, 55% voted Katz, while 35% voted Street.

Now there's no sign of the poll. Did anyone else catch that poll?

I wonder if they withdrew it because their "Endorsee" wasn't winning. Hmmm.

At 2PM I still see poll there. With 100 votes Katz has 54%, Street 33%, Not Voting 11% and other 2%.

Great - its still there!

Well hopefully this will be a more realistic indicator of the general consensus out there, rather than some paid polls.

I have a feeling the City Paper will endorse Sam Katz tomorrow.

This past week John Street has been on the cover, but I think it's a safe guess that Sam Katz will be their feature for the cover, the endorsement and the Mayor.

I'm not so sure it's a safe guess. Lately Howard Altman has been making a lot of noises that suggest to me he's not very Katz-sympathetic. He seems to have bought into the Republican bug conspiracy story, and his column on Katz last week really made Katz look pathetic.

The Philadelphia Weekly needs to get a clue. I know they like to be portrayed as a paper which espouses socially progressive ideas. Thus why support Street??? Street, like all the Democrats in this city and this state, is in the pocket of the unions. Unions are traditionally socially conservative. They support minority and female rights ONLY when it is in thier interest to do so (and until recently many of them farbade some minorities and females from having membership), they do not support gay rights, they are hostile to immigration, etc. What exactly is progressive about Pennsylvania Democrats? The Democrats here should just get out of the closet and call themselves what they really are - The Union B*tch Party.
