Default Obama's church is RACIST

It is plain to see that the speeches and attitudes of Trinity United Church of Christ are a continuing tradition. The concept of being a 'one time thing I was not present for', can no longer wash. The verbal promotion of racial divide is a common theme at this Church that Obama, Michele and their children condone and have grown with over the past 20 years of his association and participation in this church. It is practiced and promoted week after week, after week. It is time we recognize the only CHANGE that will be promulgated is Racism. When it comes to hiring major and minor government employees, Obama will choose by race first, all other qualities and abilities will become secondary.
As Obama responded. “And as I said, I still very much value the Trinity community.”
It is time the Federal Government rescinded the tax-exempt status of this and any other religious organization that uses the pulpit to promote a political agenda.

How about the Southern Baptist Convention? Dubbya spoke from their platform many times while campaigning and they worked hard to get him elected.

How about the Catholic Church, which dictates to its flocks where they should stand on political issues like abortion and the right to die?

How about the Mormons? How about the Jews?

Should we ban religion in this country, so it doesn't conflict with our politics?

RESPONSE
I stand by my statement ' any and all' religious organizations.
I do not promote the ban of religion.
Nor do I promote banning religious people discussing politics.
I firmly believe that we, the taxpayers of this Nation should not be compelled to finance religious organziations that allow their pulpit to be used to promote a political agenda. Giving tax exemption status to such orgs. is compelling me to indirectly finance an agenda I do not approve of.
I do not check the mark on my tax return which puts $1.00 into financing presidential campaigns unilaterally because I don't want even 50 cents to finance the opposition.

to SEAND
your post's first link is to a site promoting a specific presidential candidate and does not respond to my post that TRINITY is and has been a racist preaching organization.
People think that only caucasions can be racists. WRONG. If it walks like a duck, and quack likes a duck it is a duck.
If they preach or allow to be preached racist attitudes from their pulpits they are racists.
If for 20 yrs. they sit and listen to racists comments spewed they are racists.

Your second link is to a speech obama made in Center City not to the general public but to a choir of personally selected and invited people who made up his audience.

This is the weakest example of a non-argument I've seen thrown up in a while. Don't provide evidence, don't back it up. Just some vague statements about what they assume to be the truth with nothing to back it up.

Pathetic really.

Its true anybody of any skin color can be a racist. I agree 250%. It also just so happens that the clearest examples of it going on in this thread is coming from bryson and rganter, in my humble opinion.

So you came in throwing names around with no back up, basically inviting the same name calling to pointed back at you. OK I'll comply since thats your rather obvious aim.

Next step "Moi. But one of my best friends is . . ."

Yawn the predicatibility is just too tiresome.

What exactly about Trinity is "racist"? Because they believe that historic racial injustices have set the ground for many of the social inequalities of today? Guess what they are right. Infant mortality rates for black infants in this country are 1.5 to 4.8 times higher than they are for white infants. Futhermore the variance of infant mortality rates form city to city seems to corelate to the amount of geographic segregation exists in a city.
Lets look at a graph.

As you say rganter if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck and quacks like it probably is a duck and right now Mr. Ganter you look very much like a duck to me.

I thought the subject about Obama and his church was a dead-none issue.

He is winning in the race to be the democratic candidate. Aren't they deciding what to do with the Missouri and Florida delegates?

Can we leave the race issue and his ex-pastor alone?

Alright - already.

Maybe you don't watch TV, read papers or follow things on the internet but this is a NEW incident that was brought about by a longtime friend/associate of his who also until recently sat on his campaign in a small role. Right or wrong this stuff won't go away as long as it continues to happen on a semi-frequent basis.

Yes, I do read the newpaper, internet, watch the news, etc. and I choose to leave somethings alone.

People make things an issue, when they are not.

How convenient for this person to come out now? As Obama is going to topple Hilary.

I don't care...I just want this over with.

Alright - Already.
