When petitions get challenged they are heard by real Judges but they follow election law. There are alot of gray areas in election law we all know that. But he stepped over election law an into the criminal end of the law.

No, the current interpretation is that the circulator that signs collected the signatures themselves.
It is illegal to the point that the forms are not valid.

Ok. I did a little BASIC research. Look up any one of Payton's bios. He was born in 1981 as was the Tony Payton arrested on DRUG CHARGES. In the documents set you see that the "PAYTON" in question is from HATBORO. Hmmmm that's where Payton came from before he moved here to run for office. Interesting. He was arrested in the 15th District, wow again that is the district that PAYTON moved to to RUN FOR OFFICE.

I think we can deduct that the TONY PAYTON FROM HATBORO BORN IN 1981 who was arrested on DRUG charges is probably the same TONY PAYTON FROM HATBORO BORN IN 1981 WHO IS NOW THE STATE REP.

A couple of points about the MC records...is this Tony Payton the State Rep? There are many Tony Paytons out there.

If it was Tony-note that the case was dismissed and that Seamus McCaffery was a pro-police, pro-prosecution judge-and Tony wasn't even thinking of running for office in 2002-so if it was him and he was acquitted, the case against must have been a joke.

And another news flash for the genius who posted that it was a plea bargain...if it was a plea bargain, he would have admitted guilt to a lesser charge. There would be a conviction if it was a plea bargain.

If this case had a trial in Municipal Court, it was Misdemeanor charges only. The only way a felony charge could be considered in Municipal Court if it was a preliminary hearing. A preliminary hearing is where the prosecution must demonstrate to a judge that they have enough evidence to bring a prosecution. If this was a preliminary hearing and the case was dismissed, it means the case against him was SO bad it never made it onto the trial docket. And again, Seamus McCaffery, a former cop, would only release a case against someone if it really stunk.
And not one of the hatchet jobs on this thread has yet to provide proof that this case was Tony Payton the state rep. other than innuendo. And even if it was him, from the information on it, it was a lousy case and probably a case of mistaken identity.
And for the last time genuises-forgery means you write someone else's name in a legal document. YOU HAVE NO IDEA what was contained in the petitions which were withheld from the Judge. All you have is innuendo and conspiracy theories. Two of the petitions which Tony circulated were stricken for reasons other than forgery. He testified in the case, and he won in court. Stop slandering him and get out of the gutter.
