Scientists in Japan have created sperm cells out of stem cells. They already created egg cells. Next up, human life. I'm all for stem cell research for diseases, but do we really need new ways to create life. I think we're pretty good at the old way.

If you were paying attention to the news from Japan there was a very interesting story about the doctor that was making tremendous advances with stem cell research.
He made the headlines over there because he was arrested because they found out he had faked most of the info he was publishing. He had never gotten any place with the experiments and was only making stuff up to get more grant money. To date there has not been any real sucsess with the stem cell theory. The best part is when the Libs keep screaming BUSH blocks stem cell research . They do this pandering to the uninformed leftists that swallow it hook line and sinker as truth . The facts are Pres Bush mearly stated that the govt. should not pay for it. If Merk drugs wants to do it , it's fine after all they could make billions on it - - - -if it works and Merk and a lot of other companys dont want to invest to much in it because they are realists and know it is a nice idea but so is time travel. It may be possible but not likely. Last edited by dogghosts : 11-05-2006 at 01:20 PM. |
