I found this great site on the skyscraperpage.com forums, and, just in case no one from here's seen it, here it is:

http://www.phillyskyline.com/

I also posted it to Metafilter, so let's see what everyone says about Philadelphia.

This "day pass" series is amazing and it just goes on and on. I think its interesting he focused on the neighborhoods (Olney, Logan, Ucity, West Philly, Upper Darby, Kennsington, Frankford) rather than say shots of Fitler Square, Elfreth's Alley, etc. Of course his day follows the the BSL and the El mostly.

Super cool. You know I have seen that one guy (not the one with the face injuries) by the beer distributor on 52nd.

Thats pretty cool. It definitely shows of some of the grit and grime of Philadelphia, but truthfully, its a pretty accurate representation of Philadelphia. The 52nd St photos are pretty funny.

I particularly like the shot taken from (presumably) the PSFS building with City Hall in focus and Cira Centre waaay in the background. It makes Cira Centre look so small!

Good stuff.

thanks for checking it out, everybody. especially you, deafmute -- the metafilter link really garnered a bunch of new hits to the site. phillyskyline.com is something i've been sitting on for a couple of years, but i've finally gotten around to posting some things there instead of just using it as an image host for skyscraperpage.com, where i'm an "active" member. ("total geek" is perhaps more accurate.)

anyway, thanks again and check back when you like. there's a new photo essay from the huge snowfall saturday currently.

phillyblog.com gets my a-ok too -- i've lurked for a while, so good work all.

pip pip, cheerio and such.
